Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GreenFocus ("the App", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application. This policy applies to all versions of GreenFocus available on Google Play.

By using GreenFocus, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

If you use the Zen AI coach feature, your messages are sent to our AI provider (Groq) to generate a response. We do not use these conversations to train AI models, and conversations are processed solely to provide you with a response in the moment.

2.4 Payment Information

If you subscribe to GreenFocus Premium, payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play and our subscription management provider (RevenueCat). We do not directly collect or store your credit card or payment details. RevenueCat receives a device identifier and subscription status to manage your entitlements.

2.5 Accessibility Service Data (Important)

GreenFocus uses Android's AccessibilityService API to power its core app-blocking feature. This is a sensitive Android permission, and we want to be fully transparent about how it is used:

What it does: When you activate a Focus Session and select apps to block, the Accessibility Service detects which app is currently open on your screen (by reading the package name of the foreground app only) so that GreenFocus can intervene if that app is on your blocked list.
What it does NOT do: GreenFocus does not read, record, log, transmit, or store the content of your screen, your messages, your browsing activity, your keystrokes, or any personal content within other apps. The service only checks the package name (e.g., "com.instagram.android") of the app currently in the foreground — nothing more.
Where this data goes: This detection happens entirely on your device. The current foreground app package name is temporarily stored in local device storage (Android SharedPreferences) to coordinate the blocking behavior between the background service and the app interface. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Why we need it: Without this permission, GreenFocus cannot detect when you open a blocked app, which is the core functionality you are choosing to use.

3. How We Use Your Data

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on our behalf. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by:

Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Children's Privacy

GreenFocus includes a Parental Control mode designed for parents to manage their children's device usage. GreenFocus itself is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. The Parental Control feature is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian using their own account.

We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and secure authentication, to protect your data. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

GreenFocus is available to users worldwide. If you are located outside of Brazil, your data may be processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own, including through our service providers listed above.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users within the App or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
